The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) has announced that due to inclement weather, some DPR natural grass fields will be closed the remainder of today, Thursday, July 29, 2010 for the safety of DPR customers. Poor field conditions have been created by the rain and use of natural grass athletic fields in these conditions can create long-term damage.

Fields will remain open at the discretion of the umpire facilitating each field. Please call the weather hotline at (202) 671-0331 for current field closures. All DPR artificial turf athletic fields remain open for use.
