The Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) has a number of quality aquatic facilities to allow DC residents access to pools year round. In addition outdoor pools and spray parks open every summer. You can search for aquatic centers near you using the DPR Online Facility Guide. The guide provides details on each center. Descriptions of the various types of aquatic centers is provided below.
Please note Dunbar and Fort Lincoln (Thurgood Marshall) Aquatic Centers will be CLOSED until further notice.

Aquatic Centers
The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) operates indoor pools and aquatic facilities across the District throughout the year. Open swim and lap swim times are available at each site. Outdoor Pools
DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) outdoor swimming pools are Mon - Fri: 1 pm - 8 pm; Sat - Sun: 12 pm - 6 pm for the season. DPR operates outdoor swimming pools during the summer; pools close one weekday each week for scheduled service and maintenance. Refer to the Aquatics section for fees and other information.

Children's Pools
DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) outdoor children's pools open for the summer season every year. Children's pools are small developmental pools which range in depths from one to three feet, and are designed for children up to 12 years old. Refer to the Aquatics section for more information.

Spray Parks
DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) Spray Parks offer an exciting and alternative way to cool off and have fun. Spray Parks open every summer and follow a similar schedule to outdoor pools. Refer to the Aquatics section for more information.
