Admission & Fees 


The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) Aquatics Division provides residents and visitors of the District with safe, well-maintained aquatic facilities and programs that offer a diverse and comprehensive scope of water related activities.

 

Pool Admission

100 Percent Photo ID Check required at all sites

DC Residents: Residents must provide a valid proof of current District of Columbia residency and a photo ID in order to be admitted to any public pool within the District. Valid documents, as stated by the DC Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), is limited to the following:

  • DC Driver's License or DC Non-Driver Identification Card
  • DC One Card registered with DPR (indoor pools only)
  • University Student IDs from American, Catholic, Gallaudet, Georgetown, George Washington, Howard, or Trinity Universities
  • US Department of State Driver's License or Diplomatic ID Card
  • Veteran's Home ID Card 
  • Letter or Card from Court Services, DC Department of Corrections, US Government Probation Office, DC Social Services Agency

Residents may also provide a valid government photo ID and one of the following:

  • Utility bill (Water, Gas, Electric, Oil, or Cable) with name and address, issued within the last sixty (60) days
  • Telephone bill (no cell phone, wireless or pager bills acceptable) reflecting applicant's name and current address, issued within the last sixty (60) days
  • Deed or settlement agreement
  • Unexpired lease or rental agreement with the name of the applicant listed as the lessee, permitted resident or renter
  • DC Property Tax bill
  • Unexpired homeowner's insurance policy reflecting name and address

Non-Residents: Non-residents must pay to use a DPR pool, fees are listed below. DPR does not accept cash; payment can be made by credit card or certified check or money order made payable to "DC Treasurer." Swim passes are also available.

 

Outdoor Pool Fees

Use of the Outdoor pools is free for all DC Residents. Non-residents must purchase a swim pass and bring their receipt with them to the pool. Swim passes are available for purchase online, at DPR recreation centers, and on site at outdoor pools where a DPR smart phone has been issued. DPR accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. Money orders are accepted only at DPR recreation centers. DPR is unable to accept cash or personal checks. DPR does not issue any refunds on swim passes.

In order to prevent misuse of swim passes, all passes will expire 48 hours after purchasing. Please purchase all passes no more than one day prior to your visit. Note a daily swim pass allows a single guest one entry to a DPR outdoor pool or aquatic center. Repeat entries are not permitted. 

 

Aquatic Center Fees

Pool fees listed below apply to all DPR-managed pools per District of Columbia Municipal Regulations. Daily and Seasonal swim passes for Non-Residents can be purchased at the locations listed below. Accepted forms of payment are certified check or money order made payable to "DC Treasurer."
