Camp Locations


DPR Summer Camps offer urban camping opportunities annually from June to August. Camps are offered at recreation centers across the District. Select a camp below for more information.

Aqua Day 2011

Aqua Day Camps

(Ages: 6-13) Aqua Day Camp offers your child the opportunity to learn basic levels of swimming and water safety skills according to the American Red Cross standards.

 
Discovery Camp 2011

Discovery Camp

(Ages: 6-10) Packed with stimulating activities, exciting trips and endless fun, Camp Discovery is the place to be! Explore the city, engage in recreation and fitness, and enjoy new adventures.

 
Youth Camps

Little Explorers Camps

(Ages 3-5) Summer is here, and it’s time for young children to learn and have fun. Little Explorers camp is a new adventure filled with music, movement, games, crafts, stories, and special activities like field trips and swimming.

REC Camps

(Ages: 6-13) Several of our recreation centers will hold camps, free of charge to DC residents. Enrollment for these camps is done on-site at the recreation center offering the camp, through the recreation site staff.

Specialty Camps

(Ages: 3-17) Specialty Camps are offered at sites across the District. Camps include Verano Spanish Camp, Outdoor Adventure Camp, Camp Healthy Kids, Jelleff Summer Camp, and DC Achieve.

DPR Therapeutic

Therapeutic Recreation Camps

Therapeutic Recreation Camps are offered by DPR to both District and Non-District residents with or without disabilities. All registrations must take place at the DC Center for Therapeutic Recreation. You can contact the TR Center at (202) 698-1794.

 
Tween Camps

Tween Camps

(Ages: 11 - 13) Children ages 11 - 13 will have the opportunity to explore their city, participate in sports and fitness activities, and express themselves creatively.
