The Department of Parks and Recreation has developed an online map application to allow DC residents and visitors to easily find information related to DPR parks, recreation centers, capital projects and other facilities.
This application improves upon the former list of recreation centers and capital projects. Where the former system listed information by ward, the new application allows users to search for specific information with a greater degree of detail.
The project consists of several stages:
- Stage 1 - List all DPR Recreation Centers and Capital Projects
- Stage 2 - Provide a detailed view for all DPR Recreation Centers and Capital Projects
- Stage 3 - List all DPR Parks
- Stage 4 - List all DPR facilities (such as ball fields, tennis courts, computers labs, etc.)
This application is still in development. Additional uses for the application are currently under consideration. Continue to check back as the application is further developed to serve DC.
