The Athletic Programs Administration (APA) of the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) provides sports and athletic opportunities to District youth and adults through competitive leagues, tournaments, and sports instruction through coaching, classes, and clinics. 

 

DPR also provides a wide array of non-traditional sports opportunities through sports camps, exhibitions, and field trips.  DPR also operates Fitness Centers with exercise equipment and weights at 16 locations across the District.
