Locker Room Improvement work at the William H. Rumsey Aquatic Center, 635 North Carolina Avenue, SE, will see the renovation of the men’s and women’s locker rooms, including replacement of tile, lockers, showers, painting, and other repairs. Preventive maintenance work will also be performed on the center’s electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, and plumbing systems. Other general interior and exterior repairs will also be completed.
On Monday, March 17, 2008, the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR)
reopened the Rumsey Aquatic Center, ahead of schedule after
closing the center on February 4, 2008.
