DPR Volunteer Program
The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is present and active in neighborhoods and communities across the District and is proud to draw a large amount of community involvement and support. The hard work and support provided by community volunteers and organizations is welcomed by all of us at DPR and allows DPR to extend the impact of many of our programs and services.

Community Service Projects and Organizations
For organizations or individuals seeking to provide community service projects in the form of park clean-ups or spruce-up projects at DPR facilities, please complete the
DPR Community Service Application* and return to the DPR Office of Partnerships and Development.
DPR is hosting a service project at the DC Center for Therapeutic Recreation, 3030 G Street, SE, on Saturday, October 24 from 10 am to 2 pm. Volunteers will help with beautification projects and create adaptive community gardens. Make a Difference Day, created by USA Weekend, is the most encompassing national day of helping others, a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors. This project is sponsored by a Make a Difference Day grant from Serve DC, the Mayor's Office on Volunteerism. Individuals and groups interested in volunteering can RSVP by contacting Kathy Zarate at (202) 258-6021 or
