Department of Parks and Recreation: Teen Programs

Teen Night is a program of the Office of Teen Programs for District teenagers ages 13 to 19 years old, held at various recreation centers throughout the year on Friday nights, 7 pm - 12 am. Teen Nights are designed for young people by young people, with some assistance from DPR staff. Teen Nights involve any number of different recreational, leisure, social and cultural activities, in a safe and healthy environment.

DPR extends special thanks to the American Lung Association of the District of Columbia who has partnered with DPR as part of their DC Tobacco Free Families Campaign, and is providing support for DPR's Teen Night during 2008.

Teen Night activities can include:

Table and Card Games
Poetry Slam

Pool Party
Dances
Double Dutch
Spot Shot
Dodge Ball
Volley Ball
Kick Ball
Arts & Crafts
Special Trips - Boat Rides, Dinners, Sporting Events, Concerts
Laser Tag
Night Skiing
Roller Skating and Ice Skating
Life Skills Workshops
