DPR Hosts “Recess by the River” at Oxon Run Park On Saturday, September 27, 2008, the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) joined the American Heart Association and others for “Recess by the River,” at Oxon Run Park, Mississippi and Southern Avenues, SE.  The day's event was designed for the children of Wards 7 and 8 to learn more about combating childhood obesity.
