(Washington, DC) – This August, the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is not finished with summer fun. There are still many fun summer events to experience. Join us at our signature events that include Chuck Brown Day, DPR Triangle Park Series, the All White on The Globe Top Line Dance Social and much more!

  • Bring your work out gear and train with DPR for FREE at the Ward 5 Funky Fitness First Fridays event on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Turkey Thicket Recreation Center (1100 Michigan Avenue, NE) from 5 pm to 8:30 pm.
     
  • Join us for the third in a series of 2016 Late Night Summer Pool Parties at Fort Stanton Pool (1812 Erie Street, SE – Ward 8) on Saturday, August 6, 2016 from 7 pm – 11 pm. Be sure to #SaveTheDates for the entire 2016 late night pool party series!! 
     
  • We Want to Hear from You!! DPR has scheduled Town Halls across #All8Wards over the next few months. Our upcoming town halls are as follows: Sat, Aug 6 - Raymond RC (Ward 4) and Sat, Aug 20 - Deanwood RC (Ward 7).
     
  • Still need last minute school supplies? Join us at the Annual DPR Roving Leader/Brentwood Back to School Day on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Brentwood Recreation Center (2311 14th Street, NE – Ward 5) from 12 pm – 3 pm.
     
  • Still looking for FREE family fun this summer? The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) Roving Leaders Division continues to offer DPR Movie Nights, DPR Skatemobile and DPR Fun Wagon events across the District of Columbia during the summer months.
