(WASHINGTON, DC) – Today, the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) announced the temporary closures of Brentwood Recreation Center (2311 14th Street, NE), Hamilton Recreation Center (1340 Hamilton Street, NW) and Macomb Recreation Center (3409 Macomb Street, NW) beginning Monday, December 14, 2015 through Monday, February 8, 2016. To better serve our residents, the sites will undergo major renovations and repair improvements.  Renovations will be done by the DC Department of General Services (DGS).                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

The Brentwood Recreation Center will include ADA upgrades, renovations to the bathrooms, kitchen, new exterior curb access and new exterior hand railings. Please note that the playground, baseball field and basketball court will remain open and available for public use.

The Hamilton Recreation Center renovations will include ADA and HVAC upgrades, renovations to the bathrooms and new exterior ramps and hand railings. Please note that the playground, playing field, basketball courts and sport court will remain open and available for public use.

The Macomb Recreation Center will include ADA upgrades, renovations to the bathrooms, HVAC upgrades and new exterior ramps and hand railings. Please note that the playground, softball field and basketball court will remain open and available for public use.
