(Washington, DC) Today, the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) announced that all recreation/community centers, administrative offices and indoor aquatic facilities will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2015 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

All fields and playgrounds will be open.

Spray Parks will be open from 10 am to 7 pm.

All issued permits will be honored.  Field permits will not be issued. 

The following Outdoor Aquatic Facilities will operate from 12 pm to 6 pm on Labor Day:

Ward 1: Banneker Pool (2500 Georgia Ave., NW)
Ward 2: East Potomac Pool (972 Ohio Dr., SW)
               Francis Pool (2435 N St., NW) 
Ward 4: Upshur Pool (4300 Arkansas Ave., NW)
Ward 6: Rosedale Pool (1701 Gales St., NE)
Ward 8: Oxon Run Pool (501 Mississippi Ave., SE)

After Monday, September 7, all Outdoor Aquatic Facilities, Children's Pools and Spray Parks will be closed for the 2015 summer season, with the exception of East Potomac Pool (972 Ohio Dr., SW), which will close on Wednesday, September 30.
