DPR Facilities to Operate on an Adjusted Schedule on Friday, May 2

(WASHINGTON, DC)  The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) will operate on an adjusted schedule for today, Friday, May 2, 2014 due to DC Public Schools (DCPS) Professional Development Day. 

DCPS will be closed today.  DPR will host DPR Fun Day at select sites and all DPR centers will be open during the day.  Centers will open at various times (please see below), however all sites will close at 8 pm.

All Aquatic Facilities will operate on a normal schedule.

Cooperative Play will not operate today.

Recreation Centers will operate as follows:

  • The following sites are closed today:

    • Mitchell Park Recreation Center
    • Rose Park Recreation Center
  • The following sites will open at 9 am:

    • Bald Eagle Recreation Center  (Fun Day Site)
    • Chevy Chase Community Center  (Fun Day Site)
    • Deanwood Recreation Center  (Fun Day Site)
    • Ferebee Hope Recreation Center  (Fun Day Site) 
    • Fort Stanton Recreation Center  (Fun Day Site)
    • Hillcrest Recreation Center  (Fun Day Site)
    • Kennedy Recreation Center  (Fun Day Site)
    • Park View Community Center  (Fun Day Site)
    • Riggs LaSalle Recreation Center  (Fun Day Site)
    • Sherwood Recreation Center  (Fun Day Site)
    • Trinidad Recreation Center  (Fun Day Site)
    • Turkey Thicket Recreation Center  (Fun Day Site)
  • The following sites will open at 10:30 am:

    • Columbia Heights Community Center
    • Emery Recreation Center 
    • Fort Stevens Recreation Center
    • Fort Stevens Senior Center
    • Guy Mason Recreation Center
    • King Greenleaf Recreation Center
    • Lamond Recreation Center
    • North Michigan Park Recreation Center
    • Rosedale Community Center
    • Southeast Tennis and Learning Center
    • Takoma Community Center
    • Theodore Hagans Cultural Center
    • Therapeutic Recreation Center
  • All other sites will open at 11:30 am.
     
  • All sites will close at 8 pm.
