2017 Summer Camp Fees

2017 DC Resident Registration Fees

The DC Department of Parks and Recreation makes every effort to maintain low-cost recreational summer programming for District residents.

* Please note that REC camp is only offered to District residents.  The registration fee covers all (4) 2-week camp sessions (a total of 8 weeks of camp).  This camp does not offer a reduced rate.
 

Before and After Care Registration

Register for Before and After Care.   (Please note that a link will not be provided/live until registration opens.) Before and After Care registration will begin on Monday, March 27th at 12 noon and will NOT be included in the rolling registration period. Once registered for a summer program, DPR will contact you via email with information and instructions for Before and After Care registration. If you are able to register for a space in a DPR summer camp, you are guaranteed a space in Before and After Care.

Payment Information

  • Sessions can be purchased all at once, or one at a time, however camp fees are due in full for all selected sessions at the time of registration. This applies to both in-person and online registrations, regardless of registration type.
  • Payments can be made online using a credit, debit or gift card that has a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover card logo.  American Express is not an acceptible payment method.
  • Payments in-person can be made by Visa, MasterCard and Discover; as well as certified check or money order.  Please make your certified check or money order made payable to DC Treasurer.
  • Payment plans are not offered for DPR Summer Camps.
  • Non-profit agencies and the DC Department of Child and Family Services should contact the Summer Camp Office directly for registration and payment instructions.

DC Resident Proof of Residency

In order to prove DC residency, please provide the following:

  • A government issued photo ID, listing your current DC address and at least ONE of the following:
    • Pay stub (issued within the last 45 days)
    • Utility bill (gas, electric, or water within the past 2 months)
    • Unexpired DC Motor Vehicle Registration

If you are unable to provide a government issued photo ID listing your current address, you may provide the following:

  • A government issued photo ID including your name and at least TWO of the following, listing your current address:
    • Pay stub (issued within the last 45 days)
    • Utility bill (gas, electric, or water within the past 2 months)
    • Unexpired DC Motor Vehicle Registration
    • Unexpired lease or rental agreement
    • A notarized letter signed by the persons with whom you reside that includes your name, your child(ren), and address. Two pieces of mail with your current name, address, and date, must accompany the notarized letter.

2017 Reduced Rate Information

Please visit the Reduced Rate Summer Camps Policies page for information on DPR's reduced rate application, qualifying household income levels and the necessary documents required to apply for reduced rate consideration.  Please note that reduced rate applications must be submitted in person to the DPR Summer Camps office.  Applications sent via email and/or fax are not accepted.

Refund Requests

Should an applicant need to request a refund or a transfer, please note that DPR will not process any transfer requests or refunds until after March 13, 2017.  All refund requests must be received by the Summer Camp office (1) one full week prior to the start of the session from which you are withdrawing to receive a refund.

Refund request deadline dates are as follows:

  • for Session 1 - June 12, 2017
  • for Session 2 - June 26, 2017
  • for Session 3 - July 10, 2017
  • for Session 4 - July 24, 2017
  • for Session 5 - August 7, 2017

Refund requests may be submitted by completing a refund request form and returning it to the Summer Camp Office by fax, e-mail or in person. Applicants will be charged a 10% non-refundable processing fee per refunded sessionClick here (link is currently unavailable until March 13) to download the refund request form or feel free pick up form the Summer Camp Office.
