On Thursday, January 29, DPR recreation centers and indoor pools will open at 10 AM

Most DPR facilities will open along with the DC government at 10:00 AM. Due to the ongoing snow emergency, the following DPR recreation and aquatic centers will be CLOSED on Thursday, January 29, 2026:

• Barry Farm Aquatic Center (1230 Sumner Road, SE) [Barry Farm Recreation Center is OPEN]
• Friendship Recreation Center (4500 Van Ness Street, NW)
• Hearst Recreation Center (3950 37th Street, NW)
• Lafayette-Ponter Recreation Center (5900 33rd Street, NW)
• Macomb Recreation Center (3409 Macomb Street, NW)
• Reservoir Park Aquatic Center (10 Lower Service Court, NW)
• Rumsey Aquatic Center (635 North Carolina Avenue, SE)

DPR Fort Dupont Ice Arena is OPEN!

The following Indoor Pools are operating: 

• Ballou Aquatic Center (3401 4th Street SE)
• Deanwood Aquatic Center (1350 49th Street, NE)
• Ferebee-Hope Aquatic Center (700 Yuma Street, SE)
• Joy Evans Therapeutic Aquatic Center (3030 G Street, SE)
• Marie Reed Aquatic Center (2200 Champlain Street, NW)
• Turkey Thicket Aquatic Center (1100 Michigan Avenue, NE)
• Takoma Aquatic & Community Center (300 Van Buren Street, NW)
• Wilson Aquatic Center (4551 Fort Drive, NW)

DPR recreation centers and indoor pools that usually open before 10:00 AM will open at 10:00 AM. DPR recreation centers and indoor pools that open after 10:00 AM will open on time, unless noted above.
