What’s New?

Building on a dragon theme, the concept for Benning Park includes exciting new areas connected by dragons designed into new surfaces. The play areas for younger children and older children are now consolidated in the middle of the site. That area also includes adult fitness equipment, a picnic area, and a new community garden.

How You’ll Move Grow and Be Green

New pieces of equipment aren’t the only ways you can MOVE around Benning Park: follow the dragons on fun new walking trails around the site. What’s a rain garden? A great way to learn and GROW in your understanding of the water cycle and how DPR is trying to BE GREEN as we manage stormwater. There are several rain gardens at the new Benning Park.
