DPR Adds Summer Camp Locations

(Washington, DC) – The DC Department of Parks and Recreation announced today that three new camps have been added for the summer 2016 camp season. Registration will open on Monday, May 23 at 12 noon. DPR’s camps are fun, enriching, and invigorating and the new camps will likely fill up quickly.

For more information, please visit New Summer Camps Added. The locations for the new camps are as follows:

Turkey Thicket Recreation Center (1100 Michigan Avenue, NE - Ward 5)
  -  Little Explorers  (ages 3 - 5) | Sessions 1 - 3 ONLY

Brookland Middle School (1150 Michigan Avenue, NE - Ward 5)
  -  Discovery (ages 6 - 10) | Sessions 1 - 3 ONLY

Hamilton Recreation Center (1340 Hamilton Street, NW - Ward 4)
-  Discovery (ages 6 - 10)

All three camps will operate Monday through Friday, from 9 am – 5 pm.
DPR also offers a Before and After Care package for an additional flat rate. Before care is offered from 8 am – 9 am and after care is offered from 5 pm – 6 pm.

Additionally, DPR has select camps that have available spaces including: cheer, boxing, junior engineers, girls basketball, and REC camps. Please visit Select 2016 Camps Still Available to register for those camps.
