(WASHINGTON, DC) – UPDATED- For the 2015 Independence Day weekend, all DPR summer camps, recreation/community centers, indoor aquatic centers and administrative offices are closed Friday, July 3rd in observance of the holiday. All aforementioned sites will also be closed on Saturday July 4th.  All facilities will reopen on July 6th.

Outdoor aquatic centers and children's pools will operate from 12 noon - 6 p.m. on Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th.  Spray parks will operate on their normal schedule.

Playgrounds are now OPEN on July 3rd and 4th and close at 6 p.m.

Tennis Courts will close on July 3rd and will reopen on July 5th at 8 a.m.

Palisades Community Center (5200 Sherrier Pl., NW) will be open for the annual Palisades 4th of July parade.

DPR PERMITS, FIELDS AND COURTS:
- Please note that fireworks are NOT allowed on ANY DPR properties, fields, basketball courts or tennis courts.
- All synthetic fields are closed on Friday, July 3rdth, and Saturday, July 4th
- All events that have existing permits will remain available for the permit holders.

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT FIREWORKS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED ON ALL DPR PROPERTIES.

IT IS ILLEGAL TO USE FIREWORKS ON ANY AND ALL DPR PROPERTY,
INCLUDING FIELDS, COURTS, PLAYGROUNDS, ETC.
