DPR Announces the 2015 Thanksgiving Holiday Schedule

(Washington, DC) – Today, the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) announced that all recreation/community centers, administrative offices and indoor aquatic facilities will operate on the following schedule for the holiday:

  • Wednesday, November 25, the day before Thanksgiving, all DPR centers, facilities and indoor aquatic facilities will operate on their normal schedules.
     
  • Thursday, November 26, Thanksgiving Day and Friday, November 27, all DPR facilities, centers, administrative offices and indoor aquatic facilities will be closed.
    • There are no permitted recreation center activities for the day. 
    • All existing field permits will remain available for the permit holders.
    • All grass fields are closed for the season.
    • Parks, playgrounds and synthetic fields will be open for general use. 
  • Saturday, November 28, all DPR centers, facilities and indoor aquatic facilities will operate on their normal schedules.
