DPR Media Contacts:
Brian Armstead, [email protected]

(WASHINGTON, DC) – The Kalorama Recreation Center, 1875 Columbia Road, NW, will be closed effective 5 p.m. today, June 5, 2015. The center will re-open during regular center hours on Tuesday, June 9, 2015.

For outdoor amenities at Kalorama, the 2-5 age group playground will also be closed.  The park and other play areas will remain open as the affected work area will be clearly marked.

Facility upgrades are part of DPR’s Master Plan to improve existing facilities, and may require Centers to be taken off-line in the interest of public safety.  Full closures also allow DPR to perform needed work in the shortest timeframe possible.
