BACKGROUND: |
Noyes playground was a previously vacant parcel of land that has been transformed into a 1.1-acre park space with a unique “green” theme. Amenities include a community garden, a PebbleFlex® safety surface on the playground, a multi-purpose field, a shade structure, a walking path, fitness features for adults, picnic tables, barbecue grills, a community message board, an irrigated landscape, a plaza/community gathering area and game tables. The new playground is part of the Play DC initiative, a partnership between DPR and DGS to evaluate, upgrade and maintain all of the play spaces in DPR’s inventory. |
