The hard work and support provided by community volunteers allows DPR to extend the impact of many of our programs and services. A volunteer is anyone who chooses to perform services for DPR without momentary compensation or in expectation of any compensation. Volunteers under 18 must have written consent from a parent or guardian before volunteering. In addition, a volunteer must be officially vetted and complete the DPR Volunteer Certification Process prior to performing any volunteer service.

2024 SENIOR FEST - UDC ON THE YARD - May 29, 2024
DPR is bringing the HYPE for all Seen-agers, Junior Seniors, and Seasoned Seniors!!! This is our chance to celebrate DC residents 55+. Come out and volunteer with us as we offer live entertainment, music, food, vendors, exhibitors, giveaways, and much more! Don't worry, you will receive a t-shirt, lunch and join the fun!
Environmental - Communal Farms and Gardens
Volunteer with DPR's Communal Farms and Gardens. DPR is the national leader in urban recreation and parks administration, and the primary source of leisure activity for residents of the District of Columbia. As a volunteer, you will promote sustainable practices and community engagement within communal farms and urban gardens while working alongside DPR staff and community members to maintain and enhance green spaces while fostering environmental stewardship and community connection.
