The Forest Hills playground design centers on a nature, forest and trees theme.  DPR, DGS and the Trust for Public Land worked with the Forest Hills community on the design of this unique play space.  The Forest Hills playground is one of the original 32 play space renovations under Mayor Gray’s Play DC: Playground Improvement Initiative.

New features at Forest Hills playground include: climbing boulders and mounds, an omni-spinner, swings and slides, a standing see-saw, ADA accessible sand table and sandbox, adult fitness equipment, extensive storm water management (bioretention) areas, picnic areas and more.
