(WASHINGTON, DC) - Today, the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) announced an additional, fourth (and final) free #SplishSplashSummer community pool party for the 2015 summer.  Hailed as an extremely successful pilot event series in 2014, DPR announced the 2015 "A Splish Splash Summer" Late Night Pool Party Series (press release) in mid July.  On Saturday, September 5, 2015 from 7 pm to 11:30 pm, DPR's Aquatics team invites everyone - community members, DC residents, families, returning college students, and more - to join DPR in celebrating a safe and successful summer season with a final #SplishSplashSummer Late Night Pool Party at Banneker Pool (2500 Georgia Ave., NW).  Attendees are asked to RSVP online for this free event.

"Year after year, thousands of District residents and visitors of all ages take advantage of DPR's outdoor aquatic features.  Operating from Memorial Day through Labor Day, our 18 outdoor pools, 4 children's pool and 24 spray parks provide not only an opportunity for exercise and fitness, but also an environment of leisure and fun that everyone can enjoy," said Director Keith Anderson.  "This years' Late Night Pool Party Series has been extremely successful and we look forward to seeing residents, families and even the District's returning college students for this final event of the Summer 2015 season."

Previously, three #SplishSplashSummer pool parties were offered as a part of the 2015 outdoor pools season series at Banneker, Randall and Fort Stanton pools.  The event series is free, open to all ages and will have a DJ/music.

Please note that patrons are not allowed to bring any outside food nor drink onto the pool deck, and all patrons will swim for free (residents, as well as non-residents) for this special event.  Photo ID is required for entry (youth will not need photo ID, however they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian with a photo ID).

All standard pool policies and rules apply. Please visit DPR's website for more information regarding DPR's policies on Pool Rules and Safety and Admission and Fees.
