(WASHINGTON, DC) - Come out and socialize during the evening at three of DPR's popular outdoor pools!! Today, the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) announced plans to offer late night, community pool party events for a second year in a row. Hailed as an extremely successful pilot event in 2014, DPR's Aquatics Division has officially named the event "A Splish Splash Summer" Late Night Pool Party Series, making this series an annual part of the District's summer outdoor pool season for all to enjoy!
"Year after year, thousands of District residents and visitors of all ages take advantage of DPR's outdoor aquatic features. Operating from Memorial Day through Labor Day, our 18 outdoor pools, 4 children's pool and 24 spray parks provide not only an opportunity for exercise and fitness, but also an environment of leisure and fun that everyone can enjoy," said Acting Director Keith Anderson. "I am excited that our Aquatics Division is committed to not only bringing this popular, late night program back for the second year in a row, but that this is officially now an annual late night summer event series at DPR. All are welcome and we look forward to seeing you at the 'A Splish Splash Summer' Late Night Pool Party Series."
