Applications for one-time permitted uses are due 30 calendar days before the date of use. Many one-time permitted uses will be approved at the time of application. Some events, especially larger community events, may require additional information and documentation including but not limited to a letter of support from the local ANC, letter of support from MPD, parking plan, security plan and certain licenses from other DC Agencies such as the Department of Health. These applications will not be approved until a Permit Officer has reviewed the request and ensured that all appropriate documentation has been provided.

IMPORTANT: A permit is not finalized until an application is submitted, processed, paid in full and requested additional documentation is received.

Applications for seasonal permitted uses of athletic fields, courts, gymnasiums, and aquatics spaces are due four times per year in a seasonal rotation. Please visit the Seasonal Permits webpage for more information.
