Potential candidates can come learning about summer employment as a DPR Lifeguard, register for a lifeguard class. Those that register at this event will have their certification fee waived.

Prerequisite skills for the class includes:

• 100 yard swim
• Tread water without hands for 1 min
• Retrieve a 10 pound brick from the bottom of the pool
