Today, the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) opened registration for DPR Spring programs. DPR is also now accepting applications for outdoor permits for low-to- no-contact sports.
Spring Programs
Spring in-person programs include the return of baseball, tennis, and football “skills & drills,” as well as fitness classes like Cardio Dance and Bootcamp.
Programs also include environmental activities such as birding, nature photography and geocaching. Childcare opportunities via Spring Break Camp and Learning Hubs are available.
Spring Outdoor Permit Applications
Outdoor permit applications will be accepted for low- to no-contact sports, including Little League Baseball, youth softball, adult kickball, Tiny Tots Soccer, and youth soccer.
Medium or high-contact sports, including basketball, non-youth soccer, and football, must be limited to non-contact training, such as individual drills or team building exercises.
Virtual Programming
Residents can also access virtual program options, including Esports, yoga, jewelry making, quilting, teen enrichment programing, and more.
The full listing of Spring programs is available online, but an account must be created for each participant to register for a program, if he/she does not have one. Users are encouraged to set up an account prior to the registration date. Registration must be completed online. Permits are also available online.
