Representatives from DPR and DGS will be on hand to collect community input about the existing site and gather priorities for the new play space. Please join us for the third and final meeting on the upcoming renovations to the play space at Columbia Heights. Representatives from DPR and DGS will be on hand to review previous comments and provide a final concept for the new play space. DPR Fun Day
During the 2013–2014 school year, when DC Public Schools (DCPS) has full-day closures for staff development, DPR offers a Fun Day Camp, which is a single-day program offering fun and enriching activities (such as sports activities, arts and crafts, and more) for children, ages 6–12 years old. DPR strives to meet the needs of District families when the District's public schools have planned closures.

Mother's Day Dinner and Talent Show - Turkey Thicket Recreation Center
The Mother’s day dinner and talent show is a wonderful opportunity for our youth to showcase their talents learned at the center to their mothers in celebration of their special day. Invitation only
3rd Annual Community Basketball Showcase - Fort Davis Community Center
The community's teens and young adults will form six basketball teams in an effort to showcase their talent for high school, AAU, and college coaches.
Young Ladies on the Rise Mother & Daughter Tea - Deanwood Recreation Center
Young ladies will serve their mothers tea and recite poetry. The mother's will also receive certificates.
DPR Spring Tennis Play Day - Takoma Community Center
Come and join us for a day of tennis, games, friendly competition, food and fun.
4th Annual Mother's Day Mommie & Me Brunch - Bald Eagle Recreation Center
Bald Eagle Recreation Center will host its 4th Annual Mommie and Me Brunch honoring all Mothers in the community. Youth will entertain their Mothers and Grandmothers with an afternoon of entertainment including songs, dance and poetry. Light refreshments will be served.
Spring Gospel Explosion - Columbia Heights Community Center
Enjoy the sweet, spiritual sounds of gospel music in a family-friendly event featuring Tyrone Linzy with the gospel group, God's Miracle. The explosion includes liturgical dancers, a senior hat show, group and individual performances, and much more. Light refreshments provided
