Citi Open - Emirates Tennis Clinic and Equipment Donation - Takoma Tennis Court
Emirates presents DPR with a donation of tennis equipment, and will provide lunch for youth participating in the tennis clinic.
Citi Open - DPR Acknowledged as the 2015 Member Organization of the Year
DPR will be acknowledged by Citi Open and USTA for their tennis achievements and being recognized as the 2015 USTA Member Organization of the Year. One of the highest honors bestowed by USTA.
Citi Open - Community Day – National Parks Kids Day - William H.G. Fitzgerald Tennis Center
Over 200 youth will participate in fun, spirited games of tennis. The fun starts at 10:00 am at the Fitzgerald Tennis Center. Admission is free and all kids ages 14 and under receive a food voucher. The day will also include the Mascot Challenge – DPR’s Leaf, Slapshot from the Capitols, the Geico Gekko, Top Spin and Slice from the Kastles, George from George Washington University, and mascots from DC United, MD Terp and the Baltimore Ravens will engage in fun competition.

Citi Open - DPR Play Day - Woodrow Wilson Plaza
DPR youth will participate in a DPR Tennis Play Day. Tennis Play Days are an excellent way to get youth exposed to the game of tennis. Whatever the skill level, youth can enjoy the wonderful game of tennis. Youth and adults are encouraged to attend.
National Night Out - Takoma Community Center
Join neighbors and friends on Tuesday, August 4th for the 32nd Anniversary of National Night Out, America’s Night Out Against Crime. The event will focus on “Bridging the Gap” between youth and seniors with a theme of “Healthy Safe Summer.”
Come out to meet city officials and enjoy entertainment from local bands. There will also be food, a moon bounce, face painting, drone and K-9 demonstrations, and outreach tables about neighborhood and city services.
Skatemobile in the Community - Marvin Gaye Park
This summer the Skatemobile will travel throughout the District and DPR camps during the months of June-September and some specials events, allowing the youth to experience the mobile roller rink in their communities. The vehicle comes equipped with a sound system and carries over 100 skates.
