During the 2013–2014 school year, when DC Public Schools (DCPS) has full-day closures for staff development, DPR offers a Fun Day Camp, which is a single-day program offering fun and enriching activities (such as sports activities, arts and crafts, and more) for children, ages 6–12 years old. DPR strives to meet the needs of District families when the District's public schools have planned closures.

The Mother’s day dinner and talent show is a wonderful opportunity for our youth to showcase their talents learned at the center to their mothers in celebration of their special day. Invitation only
The community's teens and young adults will form six basketball teams in an effort to showcase their talent for high school, AAU, and college coaches.
Young ladies will serve their mothers tea and recite poetry. The mother's will also receive certificates.
Come and join us for a day of tennis, games, friendly competition, food and fun.
Bald Eagle Recreation Center will host its 4th Annual Mommie and Me Brunch honoring all Mothers in the community. Youth will entertain their Mothers and Grandmothers with an afternoon of entertainment including songs, dance and poetry. Light refreshments will be served.
