DPR Pop Up Jazz in the Park Series - Guy Mason Recreation Center

DPR will kick off a Pop Up Jazz in the Park Series at various locations to signify the end of summer and the welcoming of autumn.

DPR encourages residents and music lovers to bring a lawn chair or a blanket and enjoy jazz performances by The Thad Wilson Quartet and The Jazz Congressionals.
 

DPR Cheer and Dance Coaches and Youth Tumbling Clinic - Kennedy Recreation Center

DPR's Sports, Health and Fitness office will host 2 tumbling clinics. Each clinic will teach basic tumbling skills from level 1 - 5. The sessions are broken into age groups per hour.

 

 

 

YLOR Sports Day & Program Kick-Off - Fort Stanton Recreation Center

Will be an introduction to non-traditional sports, while learning and participating in traditional sports to stress the importance of physical fitness, teamwork, fair play, and adherence to rules.

Join the DC Department of Parks and Recreation for the Ward 3 Funky Fitness First Fridays event.

DPR will showcase various instructor led fitness activities with funky music, healthy food and fun. Bring your work out gear and train with DPR for FREE in all 8 wards.

National Park(ing) Day 2016 - DPR Central Office

Park(ing) Day is an annual, open-source, worldwide event where artists, designers and citizens collaborate to temporarily transform metered parking spaces into temporary public "parks".  The mission of Park(ing) Day is to call attention to the need for more urban open space.
 
DPR invites everyone to come out and enjoy a day in the "park!!"
