Fringe is creating another free public art commotion — this time by bringing music to the masses. Capital Fringe has created a 30-piece orchestra highlighting the talents of the GoGo Symphony and Great Noise Ensemble into a special free 90-minute program. Rush hour may never be the same.(Re)education is free and open to all.

7-Eleven City Slam presented by Brisk is back for 2016, and is bringing the world’s best professional dunkers to the Metroball New York Ave. Classic at the New York Ave Playground in Washington D.C. on June 18 from 2-4 p.m. EST for the second stop of the three-city slam dunk event. Hosted by DC's own Comedian, Boot Jones.
Come out and join as we cut the ribbon on the new 18,500 square-feet Ridge Road Community Center.

Join the DC Department of Parks and Recreation for the Ward 1 Funky Fitness First Fridays event. DPR will showcase various instructor led fitness activities with funky music, healthy food and fun.
Bring your work out gear and train with DPR for FREE!
Activities will include: zumba, bootcamp, yoga, tai-chi or water aerobics; activities for children; healthy food options; cooking demonstrations; giveaways; and live radio station broadcast.
On the first Friday of each month beginning in May, DPR will showcase various instructor led fitness activities with funky music, healthy food and fun.
