New All Girls Basketball Camp - Joseph H. Cole Recreation Center
Participants will learn fundamentals of basketball, sportsmanship, working as a team, physical activity, and how to officiate the game of basketball.

Come join us for a day of exercise and fun activities that include walking exercises, chair exercises, jewelry crafting & painting, field trips, bingo and discussions on the benefits of health, diet and fitness.

Develop or sharpen your skills and refine your reflexes in the DPR wheelchair tennis program. No special equipment or modifications to the court are necessary. You can compete against other wheelchair users and/or their able-bodied partners. Participants in this class will learn the fundamental strokes of Tennis – the serve, forehand, and backhand groundstrokes, and volley. Participants will learn how to combine stroke production and wheelchair positioning and movement. All skill levels are accepted and will be accommodated.
Each participant will take part in the egg dying contest and the golden egg hunt. Also sharing lunch with the Easter Bunny.

Where kids of the Kennedy Recreation Center and Shaw community show appreciation for their mothers.

The DC Senior Games is an annual competition, hosted by DPR and sanctioned by the National Senior Games Association (NSGA), which brings together seniors from across the District to participate in athletic activities, thereby promoting healthy living for a longer, more robust life. More than 80 athletes competed in last year's 2015 DC Senior Games. Each year, the DC Senior Games features activities including: basketball, bowling, horseshoe toss, pickleball, softball, swimming, tennis, track and field.
Our Girls Rock was created to recognize the achievements of our Young Ladies on the Rise participants. The awards were created to celebrate their accomplishments and encourage other participants to raise the bar and strive higher.

Young Ladies on the Rise participants from all wards will come together for a pool party with music, fun and games.

The Chevy Chase Community Center staff will host a gathering for seniors. Tea and lite refreshments will be served.

Final open house is March 23.
