Park(ing) Day is an annual, open-source, worldwide event where artists, designers and citizens collaborate to temporarily transform metered parking spaces into temporary public "parks". The mission of Park(ing) Day is to call attention to the need for more urban open space.
DPR will celebrate Park(ing) Day 2015 with an array of activities. We invite everyone to come out and enjoy a day of activities that will include:
The DC Boxing and Wrestling Commission (Commission) will host the 5th Annual Dr. Arnold W. McKnight Amateur Boxing Invitational, Kickboxing and MMA Exhibition Event on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 12 pm to 6 pm.

Please join DPR and DGS for a project kickoff meeting and discussion of upcoming renovations to Benning Park Recreation Center. Your attendance and feedback are critical to the process and greatly appreciated.

Please join us for an information update on the future of the Marvin Gaye Recreation Center.

Following the end of the summer pool season, this annual event will provide dogs with the opportunity to swim and play games in three of DC's pools.
Sites hosting this year's Doggie Day Swim are as follows:

Registration opens Monday, August 24, 2015 at 12 noon.
Afternoon Access Program Dates: Tuesday, September 8, 2015 - Friday, June 10, 2016; Monday through Friday.

Deanwood Aquatic Center will close beginning Monday, February 15 through Sunday, February 21, 2016. The facility is expected to re-open on Monday, February 22, 2016.
