DPR Permit Application Window Closes December 12, 2014
The permit window dates for the upcoming season are currently posted on the DPR website on the Athletic Fields permit page. DPR permits outdoor fields, courts, and indoor gymnasiums on a seasonal schedule, either Fall/Winter or Spring/Summer.
Mayoral Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for the Barry Farm Aquatic Center - Barry Farm Aquatic Center
Come out and join Mayor Vincent C. Gray, Ward 8 Councilmember Marion Barry, DPR, DGS and the Barry Farm community members as we cut the ribbon on the new indoor Barry Farm Aquatic Center.
Barry Farm Aquatic Center has been converted from an outdoor facility, to a brand new 8,800 square foot indoor facility. The center will have a 6-lane, 25 meters fully ADA accessible lap pool; a leisure pool with beach entry; a water-slide and will be a LEED Silver certified aquatic center.

My School DC EdFEST - DC Armory
Hosted by the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Education (DME), EdFEST is a free, one-stop-shopping fair where families can talk with representatives from schools city-wide and learn how to apply for them through the My School DC application process, which opens on December 15. Families can also take advantage of a variety of free services and activities on-site, including flu shots for adults and immunization and dental screenings for children, administered through the DC Department of Health (DOH).
