DPR Holiday Closure
In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, all DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) centers, facilities and administrative offices will operate on the following schedule for the holiday weekend:
Annual Ward 7 Thanksgiving Day -"Feed the Homeless Program" - Fort Davis Community Center
Staff and volunteers will gather at Fort Davis Recreation Center beginning at 7am, to cook and prepare breakfast for the homeless citizens of the District of Columbia. After the food is packaged, staff and volunteers will begin to deliver the food to the homeless citizens throughout the city.
Turkey Bowl Flag Football - Kennedy Recreation Center
Kennedy recreation center will host a one day, "Turkey-Bowl" flag football tournament for the youth. Eight teams will participate from Kennedy, Stead, Rita Bright, Columbia Heights, Marie Reed and Kalorama Recreation Centers.
