DPR Acting Director Dr. Sharia Shanklin and DCOA Director Dr. John Thompson will host an open discussion regarding the District's senior services. Constituents are invited to attend to offer feedback, suggestions and voice any comments or concerns they may have.
Seniors within the District of Columbia will enjoy a lovely buffet style lunch, various games, and a variety of live musical entertainment featuring the cruise ship staff while cruising down the Potomac River.
From Monday, June 16 through Friday, June 27 DPR will accept permit applications.
Applications received during the permit window are reviewed and applicants are notified of their permit status during the 'notification period'.
DPR will handle all late permit requests for fields and gyms in the order they are received.
Late permit requests will not be processed until after all on time permit requests, submitted during the permit window, are complete.

It's a family friendly event for tots, children, and parents. Young children (and adults young at heart) can climb, test out, and honk the horns of the city's vehicular fleet, while learning about the jobs that help make the city run. Young people and families can get a taste for some of the fun fitness, arts, STEM, and other programs being offered this summer by the Department of Parks and Recreation, DC Public Library, and a host of other DC government agencies and community partners.
Please join us for the pre-construction meeting for the upcoming renovations to the play space at Sherwood, which will also serve neighboring School-Within-School. Representatives from DPR, DGS and the design/build team will be on hand to discuss the updated design, construction timeline, and construction impacts. Staff members will answer questions that you might have about this exciting project.

The Takoma Community Center and the Hamilton Recreation Center invite you to a picnic that promotes unity between the participants of their different programs--karate, boot camp and bid whist.

DPR’s senior picnic is an annual event where seniors from all over the city enjoy socializing with each other while enjoying live entertainment, music, various board games, various health exhibits and a very nice lunch on the park site.
