The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) in partnership with the Department of General Services (DGS) will renovate the Park View Recreation Center is located at 693 Otis Place, NW Washington, DC 20010. The project is set to begin November 19, 2012 and be completed by January 2014. Renovations and improvements to the site include:
- Create open floor plan by removing non-structural CMU partitions in building interior
- New landscaping and site hardscape around exterior of building
- Replacement of all finishes
- Painting floor
- Installation of new millwork (counters, cabinets, storage areas)
- New front desk
- New kitchen
- New doors and hardware throughout
- New furniture and equipment
- Re-furbishing electrical, data, and security systems
- New lighting and plumbing fixtures throughout
- New signage
- New security system
- Painting building exterior
