Therapeutic Recreation (TR) Camps are offered by the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) to both District and Non-District residents with or without developmental disabilities.
An assessment by TR staff must be completed prior to registration. A recreation therapist determines acceptance into camp based on the accommodations needed for the participant. If accepted, the therapist will then assist in selecting the best camping program to meet participants’ needs. All registrations are first come, first served and must take place in-person at the Therapeutic Recreation Center (3030 G Street, SE). Please contact the TR Center at (202) 698-1794 to schedule an appointment for an assessment.
