(Washington, DC) - The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) has temporarily closed Benning Stoddert Recreation Center (100 Stoddert Ave., SE) due to a police incident in the area.  Everyone at the recreation center is safe and the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is conducting an investigation in the area.

Constituents will be notified when the recreation center re-opens.  The center will be closed for the remainder of today.
