Columbia Heights Temporarily Closed For Scheduled Renovation

Facility closed Friday, May 6th-8th for renovations.

Today DPR will temporarily close Columbia Heights Community Center for scheduled renovations. The center is scheduled to reopen at its normal time on Monday, May 9, 2011.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) will temporarily close Columbia Heights Community Center for scheduled renovations. This month the center has undergone minor remodeling work while still allowing public access to programs and facilities. In order to finalize this work however, the center will close beginning Friday, May 6, 2011 through Sunday, May 8, 2011. The center is scheduled to reopen at its normal time on Monday, May 9, 2011.

This closure will also include closing the DPR Permits Office and Summer Camp Office on Friday, May 6, 2011. 

District residents and guests may use the Banneker Recreation Center located at 2500 Georgia Avenue, NW or Loughran Community Center at 2500 14th Street, NW during the closure.
