(WASHINGTON, DC)  Mayor Vincent Gray announced that the District of Columbia Government will closed on Thursday, February 13, 2014 due to inclement weather in the Washington metropolitan area.  A snow emergency remains in effect for the District of Columbia.

All DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) aquatic centers, recreation facilities and administrative office are closed.  All programs, events and activities are cancelled for Thursday, February 13th.

The summer camp registration scheduled for Thursday, February 13th has been rescheduled.  The reschedule date is Friday, February 21st.

The cooperative play program open house scheduled for Thursday, February 13th has been rescheduled.  The reschedule date will be announced at a later date.

The Trinidad Play DC community meeting that was scheduled for Thursday, February 13th has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 18th at 7 pm at Trinidad Recreation Center.

The 28th Annual Black History Invitational Swim Meet scheduled for Friday, February 14th - Sunday, February 16th at Takoma Aquatic Center will proceed as scheduled.  Friday, February 14th's morning start time has been adjusted for the 13 & older age group.  It is as follows: 9 am - warm up time; 10 am - start time.  There will be no change to the schedule for the 12 & under age group.
