(Washington, DC) – All DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) facilities will be closed on Monday, April 16, 2018, in observance of DC Emancipation Day.

• The permits office will be closed on this date.
   
• All athletic fields, parks, playgrounds, and park sites will be open for general use.
   
• Previously permitted outdoor events can take place as scheduled.

The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) provides quality urban recreation and leisure services for residents and visitors to the District of Columbia. DPR supervises and maintains area parks, community facilities, swimming pools and spray parks, and neighborhood recreation centers.
