DPR Announces the 2016 Emancipation Day Holiday Schedule

(WASHINGTON, DC) – All Department of Parks and Recreation administrative offices, recreation/community centers and aquatic facilities will be closed on Friday, April 15, 2016, in observance of DC Emancipation Day.

No permits will be issued on that day. All permitted events will take place as scheduled.

All turf fields and playgrounds will be open.

DPR supervises and maintains area parks, community facilities, swimming pools and spray parks, and neighborhood recreation centers. Adaptive programs and facilities are available for persons with disabilities.
