(Washington, DC)–Today the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) announced plans to modify the lane configuration for the Wilson Aquatic Center, 4551 Fort Drive, NW.

Beginning Monday, June 25, the pool will be in a short course lane configuration (25 yards) on Tuesday and Thursday. On Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday the pool will be in a long course lane configuration (50 meters). The pool will have 4 long course lanes and 4 short course lanes on Saturday.

DPR also has available new removable bulk heads that will allow for greater flexibility from a long to a short course.

The new schedule also alleviates the need to adjust pool hours to switch lane configurations.

DPR will continue to monitor pool usage and review the schedule for fall.
