(Washington, DC) - The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) has temporarily closed Fort Stevens Senior Center and Recreation Center (1327 Van Buren St., NW) through Friday, December 19, 2014, due to an electrical fire earlier today on the Senior Center side. The Department of General Services (DGS) is currently on-site.  The centers are expected to reopen on Saturday, December 20, 2014.

All programs, events and indoor permitted events taking place at the center are cancelled. 

Constituents will be notified when the senior center and recreation center re-open.
