WASHINGTON, DC – Due to the heat advisory issued for the District of Columbia, the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) has canceled all DPR-sponsored activities for youth on Friday, June 10, 2011. DPR-sponsored adult activities may continue at the discretion of the organizers.

DPR's priority is to ensure the health and safety of DC residents and youth. Residents are encouraged to take the necessary steps to stay cool and drink additional water during periods of high heat.
