(Washington, DC) – The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is excited to announce its participation in the 10th Annual Send A Kid 2 Camp radio-thon on Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 10 am to 6 pm. Presented by Radio One DC, Send a Kid 2 Camp is a partnership between the Miss Community, ALB Child Safety Foundation, DPR, Montgomery County Recreation Department, Montgomery County Family Justice Center Foundation, Rolling For Freedom-R4F and Project Give Back to Community.

Many children in our community experience lack of supervision, boredom and learning loss during the summer. Summer camp is a great way for youth to stay engaged, be active, and develop new skills and interest. DPR summer camps are available for children ages 3 to 13. For the 2017 summer camp season, DPR offers five sessions from June 19, 2017 through August 18, 2017.

The Send A Kid 2 Camp radio-thon will be broadcast on 93.9 WKYS FM, MAJIC 102.3 FM and Praise 104.1 FM between 10 am to 6 pm. Click here to donate or call 301-429-2699.
